With the increase of wealth in various countries, people are paying more and more attention to health and pursuing a higher quality of life, especially to healthy sleep. This has resulted in the significant popularity of home textile over the past decade. Where it was once a small segment of larger textile exhibitions, home textile has now created exhibitions solely of itself. Below, I have complied popular home textile exhibitions throughout China and the world. Here, businesses, consumers, and casual enthusiasts may find an array of home textile products offered by various, diverse suppliers and find out which one fits them best.

 

1. Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Shanghai

This is the most extensive home textile exhibition in China. It is a collaboration between Messe Frankfurt, CCPIT, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, and China Home Textile Association. In 2020, it had 644 exhibitors from 11 different countries, along with 26,673 visitors hailing from 42 countries. The exhibition has been coined as the greatest fair for textile enthusiasts in all of Asia. It is scheduled for August 25 to 27, 2021, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Pre-bookings are open now. 

2. LuxeHome Exhibition, Shanghai

This will be the 10th luxury living and interior finishing exhibition organized by Reed Huabo Exhibitions (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. This exhibition will show several different interior design products, including home textiles. Manufacturers and retailers will have the perfect opportunity to promote their brands while customers and casual buyers may find out what designs fit them best. Over 25,000 visitors take part in this exhibition annually. The event will take place on the 22-24 July 2021 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai. 

3. HomeTex Expo, Shenzhen

The HomeTex Expo originated in 1997 in the city of Foshan, China. In 2007, the exhibit moved to Shenzhen. Today, it has become one of China’s textile powerhouses, boasting a portfolio of 2,000 exhibitors and 240,000 professional buyers since the event’s inception. The event is a melting pot for enterprising home textile designers and aspiring buyers. The expo is conducted bi-annually, with one event in spring and one in autumn. The dates for the autumn expo are from 7th – 9th of August 2021. The exhibition will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

4. Heimtextil Exhibition, Frankfurt

This is the largest home textile exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany. Many home textile businesses, big and small, showcase their products here. This makes it one of the most attractive home textile exhibitions in the world. In 2020, 62,243 visitors attended the event, where nearly 2300 businesses showcased their innovative home decor merchandise. Due to Covid-19, the exhibition was unable to take place in 2021. It is now scheduled for 11-14 January 2022 in Frankfurt. Being the first even of the year, the Heimtextil Exhibition will gauge how the larger market responds to the new home textile trends. Registrations are currently open. 

5. Home Textiles Sourcing Event, New York

This is North America’s largest exhibition that focuses on home textile and fabrics. Pre pandemic, the event would take place in New York. In 2020, the Homes Textile Sourcing Event team was successfully able to organize its first virtual exhibition. This year too, the event will be a virtual one. It is scheduled to take place between 20-22 of July 2021. You can comfortably showcase or view any home textile product through the internet. 

6. EVTEKS – Istanbul International Home Textiles Exhibition, Istanbul

This is the only home textiles exhibition in Turkey. The event will feature designers, businesses, and buyers from throughout the world. This year will mark its 26th event, giving it high credibility. Speaking of credibility, in 2019, it hosted 80,000 visitors from 120 different countries. The exhibition promises to satisfy every customer’s home textile needs. EVTEKS – Istanbul International Home Textiles Exhibition will commence on September 20th – 24th, 2021, at the CNR Expo Istanbul Expo Center. The event is expected to have 1000 exhibitors with 125,000 visitors. 

7. Heimtextil Exhibition, Moscow

This is Russia’s most prominent home textile exhibition. It has been running for the past 20 years and has had an attendance of more than 17,000. This year’s exhibition will not only focus on home textiles but also decorative and furniture fabrics, window, interior, and wall decorations, amongst others. The venue of the Heimtextil Exhibition for 2021 has been changed to the IEC Expocentre, located in the centre of Moscow. The dates for the event are 14 – 16 September 2021. Exhibitor bookings are now available. 

8. Interior Lifestyle India, Mumbai.

This is one of India’s first and most popular home textile exhibition events. 2018 was the 5th and most remarkable year in the event’s history. Over 165 exhibitors showcased their innovative products to 7000 visitors, both domestic and international. The exhibition provides Indian textile artists, decorators, consultants, and connoisseurs with a single platform where ideas can be exchanged. Due to the Covid pandemic, no exhibitions were conducted in 2020 or 2021. Their next exhibition is scheduled for 2022 from the 3rd to March 5 in Mumbai. 

9. IHGF Fair, Delhi.

The IHGF is India’s largest fair that features the country’s handicraft, artistic, and home merchandise. This event is organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). Its first exhibition took place in 1994. The event occurs twice a year, once in the summer and once in the autumn. In the summer of 2021, the 51st IHGF fair took place virtually due to the Covid pandemic. While not much can be said about its success, preparations for the upcoming autumn fair are in solid motion. It is expected that the autumn exhibition will have 3,000 exhibitors attracting thousands of both international and domestic buyers. As of now, the event will not be virtual. However, a new variant of the Covid virus has been identified in India, which may delay the exhibition. The 52nd IGHF exhibition is scheduled for 16 – 20 October 2021 in Delhi.

10. International Apparel and Textile Fair, Dubai.

The UAE has a constant inflow of international visitors due to the county’s global business repertoire. One reason these visitors come to the UAE is the International Apparel and Textile Fair of Dubai. The exhibition boasts exhibitors from Europe, India, China, Indonesia, Japan, and Turkey, amongst other nations. It is able to connect sellers to a global home textile market. The event has gained credibility with over 15,000 visitors, 600 exhibitors, and 80 media partners in its 11 editions. The exhibition will begin at the Dubai World Trade Center on the 28th – 30th of November, 2021.
